Karingo and Son of Feyan both ridden by Grant Cockburn ran at the first jumps meeting at Ayr.

Karingo ran in the the two and a half mile maiden hurdle, he led he field for most of the race and his jumping was certainly improved for this tactic, he was still in front at the second last hurdle but was just out sprinted in the final furlong or so.  He was only just pipped for fourth place but there were some pretty smart horses in his race who I think will go on to be decent prospects.  He also won the best turned out award, smart chap!

Son of Feyan ran in the three mile handicap hurdle and a mistake down the back straight when he really needed a good jump to be competitive halted his chance but he stayed on strongly up the home straight finishing like a train.  He seems to be coping with the excitement of being at the races much better now.
