Horses for re-homing

Like all sports, Horse Racing has its winners and its less successful. The successful will go on hopefully to bigger and better triumphs,  whilst others through re-homing will seek alternative life-styles whether it be as Three day Eventers or at the other extreme a quiet hack.

Normally, their asking price is not excessive, as the main wish will always be to find a good home.

There are many benefits that come with a re-homed racehorse:

  • They will be fully trained and schooled.
  • Used to being handled by a variety of people
  • Mixing amongst their own kind in a stable environment and out in the fields.
  • Regular veterinary checks and treatments, if required,
    The Farrier
    Being boxed and transported
  • The Noise and excitement of a racehorse

Evidence of their success in other careers can be seen in

  • Thornaby Girl — a first class Polo Pony
  • Bobbing Cove — Eventing
  • Flora the Explorer — Dressage
  • Fathom — Hunter Showing
  • Shamberry- Show Jumping
  • Barrhead — Hunter Showing
