Three runners in the same race is never ideal but sometimes there are few other options. The two and a half mile maiden hurdle had our three runners, Berkshire Downs, ridden by Adam Nicol was hampered four out when the horse in front of her had no racing room and unfortunately after that she just wasn’t able to pick up again, she has had a long hard season and is due a well deserved holiday. ¬†Badged, ridden by Brian Harding, was having his first run after his holiday and having lost his confidence a little at the end of last year it was lovely to see him running full of enthusiasm to be a fast finishing third place, This Thyne Jude, ridden by Grant Cockburn really appreciated the better ground and longer trip to be only a whisker behind Badged in fourth place, she seems to be enjoying her racing and everyone’s patience with her is being rewarded.
