Son of Feyan who had been off the track for one day short of a year, not with any problems but as a nervous youngster we wanted to give him time. He ran in the two and a half mile maiden hurdle and having previously got himself so wound up with travelling and new stables etc that he barely had an energy to race but today he was really settled and behaved beautifully, he ran a great race to finish on sixth place, he will probably want a longer trip in the future but he was still travelling well at the end of the race and for young horses I think that’s very important. A lovely first run of the new season for him.

Strobe was running in the only suitable race and it was probably a grade too high and they just went a bit too fast for him but he still ran a great race and seems to still be really enjoying his racing, such a lovely chap and it’s great to see an older horse still full of mischief ESP at the races!!

Badged ran in the two and a half mile handicap hurdle but for some reason ran no sort of race at all, a real mystery as we were full of hope of a good run but he just never seemed to be happy or get into any sort of rhythm, something may come to light to explain this head scratcher, horses eh?!?!
