It was a glorious sunny afternoon at Perth and as such the going was on the quick side of good, we had three runners.
It was also the sixth running of Alan’s memorial race and while we had no runners in the race itself we had a huge turnout of friends and family to support us and enjoy a drink or two in the glorious sunshine.
STROBE, Adan Nicol and AGRICULTURAL, Grant Cockburn both ran in the two mile four furlong handicap chase. Agricultural and Grant took a heavy fall at the fifth fence but thankfully both were quickly to their feet and Strobe it seems now with his advancing years he is not keen to let himself down on very quick ground, he is fine.
CRUACHAN, Adam Nicol ran in the three mile handicap hurdle, unfortunately there was no pace to the race, which doesn’t suit him, they crawled for two circuits and then sprinted for two furlongs, but he still finished a great fifth, only a couple of lengths off the winner.
