In a race of basically 2 circuits of the Scone Course, the 10 runners remained in reasonable proximity to each other on the first circuit with Agricultural mid-pack and Karingo toward the rear. Early into the second circuit Karingo, whose jumping had not been good, was pulled up. Agricultural continued to run and jump well but as the pace quickened round the final […]
Strobe made the long journey from Duncrievie to Bangor to compete in the 20f Class4 Mint Staffing Solutions Handicap Chase with 10 runners on a track with Good Going. Remember Rocky partnered by Keagan Latham ran in the 9f Class 4 FAREWELL TO RAY GILPIN SCOTTISH TROPHY HANDICAP on a track that was Good (Good to Soft in places on the loop). Smartly away from the Stalls Rocky ran his usual competitive type of race just off the pace tracking the leaders. Colt Foal out of Primrose Time by Westerner. Having a quiet morning of relaxation.
Three Horses, Granite City Doc, Remember Rocky & Strobe last week visited three different courses and all ran very creditably. However, turning to the stable yard staff, who are never ones to shout their own praises, a special THANKS and CONGRATULATIONS are due to those involved. Why? All three horses at the respective courses WON Best Turned Out, a record of which to be justifiably proud.
A warm welcome was given to an old favourite of the yard, Primrose Time (Flossy) when she returned home from stud in Ireland along with her Westerner colt foal. She was very content to bring her very young son to meet visitors.
Always nice to welcome a new equine member to the racing team. Leased to the yard, THIS THYNE JUDE will represent the LBN Syndicate. Two visitors from the yard to Carlisle where the track was Good to Firm. Luck of the draw went adrift, as both yard runners were drawn on the ouside stall in both cases. A quick exit from the stalls enabled Megan to guide Rocky to fifth place on the rail until the bend on the entry to the final straight. Round the bend the field bunched and for much of the run-in a wall of horses blocked any chance of real progress for Rocky and Megan. At the line they were […]
