Perth Races 22nd August

Both Agricultural & Karingo took part in the VISIT MYTOTEPOOOL.COM NOVICES’ HANDICAP CHASE, a Class 5 race over 20f and 15 fences on a track that was Good. This was Karingo’s debut in a Chase . Agricultural was ridden by Adam Nicol and Karingo by Grant Cockburn. In a race of basically 2 circuits of the Scone Course, the 10 runners remained in reasonable proximity to each other on the first circuit with Agricultural mid-pack and Karingo toward the rear. Bangor-on-Dee Races 21st August

Strobe made the long journey from Duncrievie to Bangor to compete in the 20f Class4 Mint Staffing Solutions Handicap Chase with 10 runners on a track with Good Going. Partnered with Adam Nicol, Strobe appeared to enjoy his race, racing and jumping well either leading or very close until the 10th of the 15 fences, where he was headed, whilst having a breather.He was back in contention again by the final fence battling to the line with According to Sarah to win by a nose, having left the 3rd placed 7 lengths behind. Hamilton Races 20th August

Remember Rocky partnered by Keagan Latham ran in the 9f Class 4 FAREWELL TO RAY GILPIN SCOTTISH TROPHY HANDICAP on a track that was Good (Good to Soft in places on the loop). Smartly away from the Stalls Rocky ran his usual competitive type of race just off the pace tracking the leaders. Asked to quicken around the 2f mark, Rocky was unable to respond and finished unplaced.

A Very Special Treble

Three Horses, Granite City Doc, Remember Rocky & Strobe last week visited three different courses and all ran very creditably. However, turning to the stable yard staff, who are never ones to shout their own praises, a special THANKS and CONGRATULATIONS are due to those involved. Why? All three horses at the respective courses WON Best Turned Out, a record of which to be justifiably proud.

Welcome Home Flossy

A warm welcome was given to an old favourite of the yard, Primrose Time (Flossy) when she returned home from stud in Ireland along with her Westerner colt foal. She was very content to bring her very young son to meet visitors.

WELCOME to THIS THYNE JUDE

Always nice to welcome a new equine member to the racing team. Leased to the yard, THIS THYNE JUDE will represent the LBN Syndicate. She is a relatively lightly raced 7-y-o mare by Silver Patriarch out of a Good Thyne mare. Already moved into the yard, she will have a short period to settle in and then enter full training.

Our Congratulation to Sammy Jo

Sammy Jo, who this flat season has been a regular jockey of our small Flat team, showed yesterday how to grasp an opportunity. when presented to her Called in at the last moment to ride in the Girls Team for the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup at Ascot, Sammy Jo took the opportunity in both hands.Playing a major contribution to the Girls Team, not only enabling them to win the competition for the first time ever but taking away the prize for best individual rider with two wins and a fourth place just beating Jamie Spencer and Kerrin McEvoy.

Carlisle Races 26th July

Two visitors from the yard to Carlisle where the track was Good to Firm. Luck of the draw went adrift, as both yard runners were drawn on the ouside stall in both cases. Megan Carberry partnered Remember Rocky in the 7f 200y bookies.com handicap, Class5 race with a total of 11 runners. A quick exit from the stalls enabled Megan to guide Rocky to fifth place on the rail until the bend on the entry to the final straight.
