Two horses from the stable travelled to Ayr, where the Going was Good and Good to Soft in places.

Our first runner was Wolf Heart ridden by Kevin Lundie(7) in a 10f Class 6 Handicap with 10 runners. Settled in mid-pack for the early part of the race, he kept a position to the outside of other runners, which
gave him a trouble free run round the final bend. Ridden from the 1f mark Wolf closed with the leaders and ran on well to what was a very tight finish. After a rather long delay, while th Judge considered the photograph the result was called as a deadheat between Spokesperson and Wolf Heart. Great to see a good honest horse getting his initial win.

In the next race, a 1 mile Handicap with 11 runners, Royal Duchess ridden by Samantha Bell(3)was the stable representative. As tends to be her custom, Duchess was relatively slow from the gates and took position on the rails toward the back of the runners. Round the final turn she was held to the rails and began to make progress through the field. Not finding the clearest of passages, the Duchess was still closing at the finish to be placed 4th 4 lengths off the winner. Another good race for the pairing to add to a successful season.
