Two entries on a day which had rather more rain than anticipated with the going changing from Good to Soft to Soft early in the afternoon.

A welcome back to Megan to renew her successful partnership with Rocky and to guide Doc on his introduction to racing;

In the first race,Granite City Doc ridden by Megan Carberry was in his debut race, a 7f race with 11 runners including 4 other newcomers. Slow out of the Stalls, Doc lost a fair distance of ground but once racing enthusiastically made up lost ground to take position toward the rear of the pack. Towards the finish he did not have the clearest of runs but showed a good attitude a running his race to the finish. A good learning day for Doc which will be of great benefit in his future career.

By the time of the third race the persistent rain had altered the going to soft. this was a 10f Handicap with just 6 runners including Remember Rocky ridden by Megan Carberry Away smartly from the stalls Rocky was settled in the leading trio through the early phase of the race.He the moved into a clear second position before, with 2 furlong to go, he moved into the lead. Over the final furlong he battled with the eventual winner to lose out by an official head. Another good race for a real trier
